How To Do Proper Due Diligence on Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home Care Agencies, and Elder Care Services in General

The best way to manage expectations is through data and proper feedback.

Let’s talk about the best way to put your money and trust in the right healthcare organizations.

People are vulnerable to scams, fraud, and all sorts of medical negligence.

Seniors however, face a much larger risk than the rest of us. Because they tend to have their money mostly in cash and easily accessible…

According to the The National Council on Aging (NCOA), it’s not always strangers who carry out these crimes.

OVER 90 PERCENT of all reported elder abuse and fraud are committed by a family member. Most often their adult children, followed by grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Plus other people in close social proximity.

Typically, most people look after their parents well being. And do so in an honest and overzealous manner.

Doing a little bit of background checking on a company isn’t that difficult. You can do most of it yourself and for FREE.

You can start with low level, but very effective techniques…

First, check out the company’s website, and see if they have testimonials and recommendations from existing clients and family members.

After that… check out their Social Media… Facebook and LinkedIn!

Check out their Facebook page for commentaries, more testimonials, and lively engagement.

And do keep your eye for negative comments. Just remember that a few negative comments are always expected!

You shouldn’t judge a company by a few bad reviews any more than you would judge a book by a few 1-3 stars. That’s kind of expected.

Do look out for patterns though…

Check out their website. See if they have testimonials and recommendations from existing clients and family members.

Next… All Medicare licensed companies have their medicare reviews available for public access.
